With GTA VI scheduled for release in May 2026, Rockstar Games is beginning to unveil its cast of characters. And as usual, the studio isn’t content to offer stereotypical figures: each protagonist, whether primary or secondary, seems to carry an entire section of the game’s narrative and universe. Here’s a look at the most striking profiles revealed to date.
Lucia Caminos – Survival instinct incarnate

Lucia is more than just a main character: she’s the beating heart of the script. A native of Liberty City, she grew up in an environment where getting by was a matter of survival. Raised by a tough but protective father, Lucia learned early on to roll with the punches. Her incarceration in the Leonida penitentiary marked a turning point: she understood that the slightest mistake could cost everything. Now free, she dreams of a stable future for herself and her mother, but the road she takes to get there seems paved with violence, robberies and moral dilemmas.
Jason Duval – A military past, an unstable present

Jason is Lucia’s male alter ego, and without doubt the most ambivalent character of the duo. Brought up in a world of shady deals and dubious figures, at one point he tries to rebuild his life in the army, but his past catches up with him. Returning to civilian life, he slips into trafficking networks in the Keys, where he plays the enforcer to survive. His relationship with Lucia is both an escape and an attempt at redemption. Jason seeks peace, but his methods remain marked by the brutality of his environment.
Cal Hampton – The paranoid geek on duty

Cal is the kind of character you’d think had stepped out of a conspiracy forum. A close friend of Jason’s, he lives a reclusive life surrounded by screens and empty cans, intercepting coastguard communications and sharing wild theories. If his fringe appearance makes you smile, Cal is also a formidable computer hacker, able to offer bank robbers and criminals invaluable information… as long as you can put up with his monologues about reptilians and secret societies.
Boobie Ike – The kingpin turned entrepreneur

Boobie is the perfect example of a gangster turned businessman, a typical Vice City archetype. A former king of the street, he laundered his activities through real estate, nightlife and the music industry. Today, he runs a mini-empire, while keeping one foot in the shenanigans. Charismatic and outwardly jovial, he forgives no weakness. He represents the underground version of the American dream: wealth, power, but always a gun under the counter.
Dre’Quan Priest – Ambition in stereo

Boobie’s partner in the Only Raw Records label, Dre’Quan is a former street dealer who has turned to music. He has swapped the dark corners of the inner city for the recording studio, but remains a ruthless businessman. He sees the music industry as a new form of power, where influence is earned through millions of views and leonine contracts. His flair and taste for strategy have made him a key player on the Leonida hip-hop scene.
Real Dimez – Two stars ready to shine again

This female duo, made up of Bae-Luxe and Roxy, embodies the struggle to exist in a world of images and buzz. After a provocative single briefly catapulted them into the limelight, they sank into oblivion… until Dre’Quan and Boobie offered them a second chance. Their comeback could be explosive, mixing protest, provocation and media strategy, with Vice City as their playground.
Raul Bautista – The old-school hold-up man

Raul is a raw, unfiltered character. A professional hold-up man, he lives for the adrenalin of well-prepared heists. He’s constantly on the lookout for teammates as daring as himself, and could well lead Lucia and Jason into increasingly risky operations. Raul is a charismatic but dangerous figure, capable of inspiring… or sinking the whole team because of his taste for risk.
Brian Heder – The quiet authority of traffic

Brian is no longer a young wolf, but he still controls a good part of the Keys’ traffic. In the background, almost invisible, he pulls the strings from his luxurious properties. Jason owes him a lot, including a roof over his head. In exchange, he uses him as a henchman for delicate missions. Brian represents the old guard of crime, those who operate in the shadows, with intelligence and patience.
